Role: Mood Maker

I am writing about a mood that was kind of scary to me. This mood made me nervous and anxious at the same time. The part in Ginger Pye that I am thinking of is Jerry, Sam, and Rachel were climbing up East Rock and Rachel got stuck! I thought that this scene was scary because it made me feel
like I was Rachel and I was going to fall! The reason why it made me anxious to read was because I wanted to see what was going to happen to poor Rachel Pye! I am glad it all ended well!

Role: Passage Picker

This passage is from page 286: "For a moment Jerry and Rachel were speechless as the truth dawned on them. In thier minds it had been sofirmly fixed that Ginger Pye was on the Banker's Express, it did not seem possible that this might be he, here on Beam's Place. Still, all of a sudden, the truth, like skyrockets, burst upon them and first Jerry and then Rachel cried, "Ginger! Ginger!"

(Passage continued--Paragraph #2) For it was Ginger! They could tell by the odd crooked marking on his back. They knew it was Ginger. Ginger was back and they hugged him and petted him and kissed him. It was big Ginger not little Ginger pup anymore."

I picked this passage because I thought that it was a wonderful, happy, moving two paragraphs. I thought this because it is the great time that Ginger is finally home! (by the way I loved the book) I am glad that Ginger is home. I am also surprised that Uncle Bennie found Ginger! I love Ginger Pye!
